South Oxhey couple raise over ?1,500 for Leukaemia CARE after Oxhey Jets Football Club charity night

A South Oxhey couple are closing in on their goal of raising ?4,000 for a cancer charity.
Hayley McEvoy and Craig Duncan of Ashburnham Drive hosted a Leukaemia CARE charity night at Oxhey Jets Football Club last month which raised ?1,897 and also secured a ?750 donation from Barclays bank to bring the total to ?2,647.
Other fundraising efforts by the couple and their friends and family have seen the total rise to more than ?3,900.
Hayley, 24, was inspired to fundraise for Leukaemia CARE after her father Tony was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia in November 2010.
She praised the Jets and owner John Elliott for their help in organising the event, saying: "John who runs the club has been there for over 40 years and is such a lovely man; he always has a smile on his face."
Hayley and partner Craig, 25, are gearing up to run the London Marathon in 2013.
