How do you prepare for that big listing presentation?
- Do you still use a presentation book with flip pages?
- Do you use your iPad with a prerecorded spiel provided by your company?
A couple years ago, I decide the start recording some of? my questions or objections in my listing presentations. ?Why do I do this?? I think it will? prepare me for any questions with a viable answer.? I really don't like to go into a situation unprepared.? I feel if I write it down, I will better remember it.
I've also found the longer I do listing presentations the fewer things I have to write down.? I do go into market statistics and I try to graph these down before the presentation.? In some cases, the perspective clients don't wanna see market data, it doesn't matter as long as you're prepared if they do.
Another trick I use, is to when someone asks you a hard question, that I have prepared for, is to pause before you answer that question.? This not only makes it look unrehearsed, it also gives you the time to give your answer more elegantly rather than a dictionary answer.? A listing? presentation is not a race, it's more like three act play;
- First you meet then you give your presentation or your spiel and then you close.
An actor doesn't go into a performance without knowing their lines or rehearsing. ?Why should our business be any different? Do you rehearse or do you ab lib your performance or listing presentation?
